Family Hotel Stasi sits in the old town quarter of Pomorie, a small mud-therapy resort about 30 km north of Burgas on Bulgaria's southern Black Sea coast. The Salt Museum, dedicated to the town's centuries-old salt-pan and mud-bath tradition, is just over 700 metres away, and the beach and seafront promenade are an easy walk. The surrounding streets are quiet and residential, lined with small taverns and family guesthouses rather than large hotel towers. Burgas Airport lies around 10 km to the south, and Burgas city, with its Sea Garden and archaeological museum, makes for an easy half-day excursion.
