Hotels for a Getaway to St Anastasia Island

A monastery, a lighthouse and pirate legends off Burgas: six hotels in the historic centre, a few minutes' walk from the port where boats leave for St Anastasia Island.

Off the coast of Burgas, tiny St Anastasia Island, the only inhabited island on the Bulgarian coast, is home to an old monastery, a lighthouse and plenty of pirate legends. In season, boats run there from Burgas port, so staying in the historic centre lets you walk to the pier and enjoy the city on your return. Steps from the port and the regional museum, Art Guesthouse Vintage, a three-room retro guesthouse, also offers babysitting. Seaman's House, design accommodation in a 1914 heritage building, combines a sauna, a gym and sea views. Бургас, a modern four-star, has a rooftop restaurant overlooking the bay. More intimate, Family Hotel Chiplakoff, in an early-20th-century house, and Hotel Astoria, which helps book excursions, are close by, as is Hotel Fors, with breakfast included and luggage storage.
