Hotels for a Road Trip in the Strandzha Mountains

Oak forests, old villages and winding roads to the Turkish border: six hotels south of Burgas, in the Rosenets pines or in Chernomorets, as a base for the Strandzha.

South of Burgas, the Strandzha massif is home to Bulgaria's largest nature park: oak and beech forests, rivers, villages with traditional architecture and small roads all the way to the Turkish border. For a road trip, it is best to stay south of the city, already on the way. Комплекс Странджата, a forest lodge renovated in 2018 in Rosenets Park, offers rooms, studios and villas under the pines, with a fireplace tavern. Close by, St. Anastasia Hotel, a boutique hotel on a cliff, has a private beach and a bike-friendly area. Utopia Forest, a three-star between pines and dunes, offers a pool, spa and sauna to unwind after the drive, and Хижа Миньор, a simple family guesthouse with a kitchen and barbecue, suits tighter budgets. In Chernomorets, Yanevi Apartments rents out cars on site and Hotel Kosko has a pool and free parking.
